Garden City Center Welcomes Four New Dining Destinations

CRANSTON, RI – Food lovers in Cranston have reason to celebrate as Garden City Center prepares to welcome four exciting new restaurants to its already impressive lineup of dining options. Anna's Taqueria, Sally's Apizza, Lanner Noodles, and PopUp Bagels are all planning to open their first Rhode Island locations at the popular outdoor shopping destination, bringing diverse culinary offerings that promise to attract food enthusiasts from across the state.

The announcement, made in mid-January 2026, represents a significant expansion of Garden City Center's food and beverage portfolio and underscores the shopping center's continued evolution as a premier destination for both retail and dining. The addition of these four restaurants reflects broader trends in the food industry, with consumers increasingly seeking authentic, high-quality dining experiences in convenient, accessible locations.

Anna's Taqueria, a beloved Boston-area chain known for its fresh, made-to-order Mexican food, will bring its signature burritos, tacos, and quesadillas to Rhode Island for the first time. Founded in 1995 in Brookline, Massachusetts, Anna's has built a loyal following with its commitment to fresh ingredients, generous portions, and affordable prices.

Sally's Apizza, a legendary New Haven institution, is also making its Rhode Island debut at Garden City Center. Founded in 1938, Sally's is one of the most celebrated pizzerias in the country, known for its thin-crust, coal-fired pizza that has earned a cult following among pizza aficionados. The expansion to Cranston marks a significant milestone for the family-owned business and brings world-class pizza to the Ocean State.

Lanner Noodles, a fast-casual Asian noodle concept, will offer diners a taste of authentic Asian cuisine with a modern twist. The restaurant specializes in hand-pulled noodles, flavorful broths, and fresh ingredients, providing a quick yet satisfying dining experience.

Rounding out the quartet of new arrivals is PopUp Bagels, an artisanal bagel shop that has gained a devoted following for its New York-style bagels and creative sandwich offerings. PopUp Bagels takes the craft of bagel-making seriously, using traditional techniques and high-quality ingredients to produce bagels that are crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside.

For Cranston, the expansion of Garden City Center's dining options represents economic opportunity. Each new restaurant brings jobs to the community, from kitchen staff and servers to managers and support personnel. The increased activity at the shopping center also generates sales tax revenue for the city.

While specific opening dates have not yet been announced for all four restaurants, construction and buildout work is expected to begin in the coming months. Garden City Center management has indicated that the restaurants will open on a rolling basis throughout 2026.
